Loved the Doorways games yet to play Holy Mountains of Flesh. This was a nice refresher.. Oooo, I like stuff like this. Especially for free. This one consists of two proof-in-concepts. The first one is heavy platforming in hell without any monsters or anything else, just platforming in immersive setting. Was done for some publisher, has all the assets. Pretty fun, albeit there are of course peeps who hate FPS platforming. But it's not slippery here, so. The second pard is when devs went indies, cue placeholders. Still platforming but now with spooky Amnesia-inspired creatures here and there. But since it's placeholder you get hiraliously spooky orcs.Too bad that some players think of it as demo versions of sorts. The released games barely have any platforming so this one would make a bad demo.. Nicely done. Loved the experience both for the atmosphere and gamplay, and also the developers notes. Cetainly makes me want to buy the full games.. An interesting game. Having never played the Doorways series myself, I am interested and intrigued to check it out. Not being a fan to tenticles, I found the craked floor monsters a bit un-nerving at first but after a while you get used to them. It is suprisingly scary for what it is. As one of the notes says, it is slightly 'Twisted' at points although not in a bad way. Only realy two faults in it. Although myself I cannot spell to save life I did notice some spelling and grammer errors. Therfore you may want to review your notes. =) Also I think adding a pause menu and a save function (to said pause menu) may be useful to some players however I understnd that this is more work and time that you may not want to put in.If there was a numeric rating system I would give 8/10 but there is not so I will recomend the game. :)P.S. Sorry for any spelling errors. :>. Oh, how I love Old Prototype! I keep coming back to this game every time I need to relax my mind. Not that you can relax being this high up above ground :) The atmosphere is amazing and the walkthrough is challenging. I love to just being able to roam and enjoy the backstory of the game. A+!
